Jo Smoley grew up in the Wolseley area of Winnipeg into a very creative family originally from the Teulon area. As a child she recalls many wonderful memories with them which helped contribute to her love for the great outdoors. Though educated in computer science, she always expressed herself visually throughout her life. Her favorite pastimes are spent hiking and kayaking Canada's many trails and lake systems.
Her semi abstract approach captures a visual sensation of the Chi and complicated interactions of life around us.
Original artwork is available through Warehouse Artworks in the Exchange District of Winnipeg, Art Expo and many other art shows offered in Manitoba.
