Linda began her love of painting in 2000. Under the guidance of instructor Alex Suprovich, she chose watercolour because of its glowing luminosity and the effect of mixing the colour right on the paper. Although Linda has taken workshops and classes from many different instructors, she attributes Alex with teaching her the basic fundamentals of the medium. She enjoys painting landscapes and nature the most, but has painted portraits and still life with success. In 2009 Linda won both a second place and an honorable mention on two of her paintings entered in the Eastman Judged Art Exhibition. Linda has also won the People's Choice Award at the Local Colours Art Show, and has had her paintings accepted into the Juried MSA (Manitobas Society of Artists) Art Show. Linda participates in the Art Rocks Show, the Brushworks Art Show, both the Spring and Fall Shows at Local Colours and shows at the Gwen Fox Gallery in Selkirk.
