Bev started painting in acrylic at the Forum Art Institute in 1969 and continued until 1973. When she graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1973, she stopped painting. In 1975 she met Wayne Arthur, who was an artist and sculptor, who she subsequently married. Together in 1995, they opened Wayne Arthur Sculpture and Craft Gallery where they lived in St. Andrews, near Oak Hammock Marsh. After Wayne passed away, Bev moved the gallery to Winnipeg. Together with her new husband, Robert MacLellan, Bev has run the Wayne Arthur Gallery at 186 Provencher Boulevard since November 30, 2002. After retiring from her other job, Bev started painting again in 2006. She likes to paint groups of people and interiors, in a unique style. Bev sold her first paintings at the end of 2007.
